PAINTSVILLE — Twenty-six people were indicted in Johnson County on Dec. 15., 2023, including one for second-degree manslaughter.
•Travis Mollette, 26, of Paintsville, is charged with second-degree manslaughter.
On or before Sept. 30, 2023, Mollette allegedly wantonly caused the death of Gray Mollette, a two-year old male child, by placing a loaded unsecured firearm within the reach of the child.
•Aeirrol Davis, 41, of River, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse.
On or before Feb. 28, 2023, Davis allegedly while being a person in a position of authority or position of special trust, as defined by KRS 532.045, subjected a minor under the age of 18-years-old to sexual contact.
•Kevin B. Conley, 48, of East Point, is charged with unlawful use of electronic means originating or received within the commonwealth to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited acts.
On or before Aug. 30, 2023, Conley allegedly procured and or promoted the use of a minor through electronic communication, including computers, computer networks, computer bulletin boards, cellular telephones, or any other electronic means for activities in violation of KRS Chapter 531.
•James A. Blair, 52, of Paintsville, is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; third-degree terroristic threatening; resisting arrest and second-degree persistent felony offender.
On or about Oct. 24, 2023, Blair was allegedly in possession of a handgun while having been previously convicted of a felony in Floyd Circuit court case # 03-CR-0034; threatened to commit likely to result in death or serious physical injury, namely the crime of assault against Sheriff Scott Hazlette; he attempted to prevent a peace officer, Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputy David Adams from effecting his arrest by using or threatening to use physical force or violence and he is a previously convicted felon.
•Tyler Trombley, 29, of Paintsville, is charged in two indictments with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree persistent felony offender.
On or before Jan. 10, Trombley was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic approximately 37 grams of methamphetamine and on Jan. 25, Trombley was allegedly in possession of Methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic in approximately 19 grams of methamphetamine and in both indictments, he is a previously convicted felon.
• Christopher Borders, 51, of Meally, is charged with first-degree trafficking in dosage units-opioids.
On or before March 23, 2023, Borders was allegedly in possession of Oxycodone, with the intent to traffic in approximately 25 dosage units of Oxycodone.
•Tyler Smith-Poe, 27, of Thealka, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
On or before July 6, 2023, Smith-Poe was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic in approximately 28.00 grams of methamphetamine.
•Raymond Kevin Roman, 50, of East Point, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or subsequent offense and second-degree persistent felony offender.
On or before March 7, 2023, Roman was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic approximately 2.99 grams of methamphetamine, while having been convicted of two prior violations of KRS 218a.1412 and he is a previously convicted felon.
•Alexander R. Jaynes, 48, of Paintsville, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance; possession/use drug paraphernalia; driving on a DUI suspended license; failure to wear a seat belt and speeding 15 miles over the limit.
On or before Sept. 6, 2023, Jaynes was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and digital scales; he operated a motor vehicle wile impaired and while his license was suspended for a violation of KRS 189a.010; failed to wear a seat belt while unlawfully operating a motor vehicle and he operated a motor vehicle at a speed of 60 mph in a 45 mph, speed zone.
•Billy D. Warner, 31, of East Point, is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police; three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment; third-degree assault of a police officer; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; no operator’s license and resisting arrest.
On or about May 10, 2023, Warner allegedly operated a motor vehicle with the attempt to elude or flee from Paintsville Police Officer Justin Jackson, Johnson County Sheriff, Scott Hazlett and Sheriff’s Deputy Darvin Marsillett while acting in their official capacity; he drove in a manner which created substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to Jackson, Marsillett, and Hazlette while he was acting in his official capacity; he attempted to cause physical injury to Jackson while he was working in his official capacity by ramming his police cruiser with his automobile; he operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that impair a driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle, while not having a valid operator’s license in his possession and he attempted to prevent officers from effecting an arrest.
•Vicky Hudson, 71, of Paintsville, is charged with second-degree assault.
On or before Nov. 5, 2023, Hudson allegedly intentionally assaulted Linda Akers, causing physical injury while armed with a dangerous weapon or deadly instrument.
•Michael Meeks, 46, of Flat Gap, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance; possession/use drug paraphernalia; resisting arrest and menacing.
On or about Sept. 6, 2023, Meeks was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine and digital scales; he attempted to prevent Kentucky State Troopers from effecting an arrest by using or threatening to use physical force against the officers and he placed others in reasonable apprehension of imminent physical injury.
•Samantha Leigh Fyffe Jarrell, 34, of Louisa, is charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance and first-degree persistent felony offender.
On or before Dec. 15, 2022, Jarrell was allegedly in possession of greater than two grams of methamphetamine with the intent of trafficking in that controlled substance, or by trafficking more than two grams of that methamphetamine, namely approximately 3.73 grams of methamphetamine while having been convicted of two prior violations of KRS 218a.1412 in Floyd Circuit Court cases 18-CR-00130 and 18-CR-0092 and she is a previously convicted felon.
•Donald Hackworth, 43, of Hager Hill, is charged with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
On or before Jan. 24, 2023, Hackworth was allegedly in possession of Fentanyl and 1.972 grams of Methamphetamine with the intent to traffic both.
•Phillip Mayhan, 42, of Flat Gap, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and second-degree persistent felony offender.
On or abut Feb. 2, 2023, Mayhan, was in possession of 1.335 grams of methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic and he is a previously convicted felon.
•James D. Daniels, 51, of Flat Gap, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
On or about Feb. 2, 2023, Daniels was allegedly in possession of Fentanyl, with the intent to traffic.
•William C. Hylton, 39, of Salyersville, is charged in two indictments, on the first he is charged with with two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree persistent felony offender.
On or before Feb. 20, 2023, Hylton was allegedly in possession of Fentanyl and 17.7 grams of methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic both and he is a previously convicted felon.
In the second indictment, Hylton is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first-degree persistent felony offender.
On or before Feb. 7, 2023, Hylton was allegedly in possession of 19.6 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to traffic and he is a previously convicted felon.
•Danielle M. Robertson, 37, of Hager Hill, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and second-degree persistent felony offender.
On or before Feb. 2, 2023, Robertson was allegedly in possession of 20.426 grams of methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic that substance and she is a previously convicted felon.
•Stephen Hatton, 56, of Paintsville, is charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and second-degree persistent felony offender.
On or before May 8, 2023, Hatton was allegedly in possession of 3.50 grams of methamphetamine, with the intent to traffic that substance and he is a previously convicted felon.
•Donald Hackworth, 43, of Hager Hill, is charged with first-degree aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance.
On or before Feb. 1, 2023, Hackworth was in possession of approximately 36 grams of Fentanyl, with the intent to traffic that narcotic.
•Justin Best, 44, of Hager Hill, and Michelle Collins, 46, of Paintsville are charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance/complicity. Best is additionally charged with first-degree persistent felony offender.
On or before Dec. 6, 2022, Best and Collins, acting alone or in complicity with each other were allegedly in possession of seven grams of methamphetamine with the intent to traffic that substance and Best is a previously convicted felon.
•Christopher Borders, 51, of Meally, is charged in two indictments with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
On or before March 23, 2023, and April 4, 2023, Borders was allegedly in possession of 25 dosage units of Oxycodone each of those days with the intent to traffic that narcotic.
